What can I expect with coaching from GCH?

Well, that really depends on what it is you need. Each client has different needs, and thus I offer them different support. This can be anything from weekly, to monthly, to “as needed” check-in sessions. This can also be as simple as a training plan review to have me look over your plan and goals with a new set of eyes. For some of my clients I have a regular text/chat about the upcoming weeks, and others I set up their calendars and schedule virtual check ins regularly with them to ensure they are getting the support and care they need.

As far as the performance training side of things goes, I have a few different takes. I really like platforms like TrainerRoad and I use them as my own cycling training platform. They are an acquired taste for some. Navigating the intricacies of a program like that can definitely be overwhelming for some. Zwift is another great platform that has lots of variety and visually engaging virtual worlds. They also have workouts and training plans that can be fun to do. I have designed my STAC program not as a “Training Plan” but as a framework to TRAIN and PLAN. It can be used in conjunction with Trainer Road, Zwift, or most other training/tracking platforms. In each workout I have recommendations on how to use the other platforms if you choose. This creates the intrinsic motivation and ability to develop at your own pace instead of the extrinsic motivation of “I am doing this because Patrick said I have to (even though it is 9:00 at night, I haven’t eaten well today, and I have been stressed at work.)"
