Team Grit City Health

Application & Agreement

Health (GCH)! We're thrilled to have you join our community of riders and runners who share a passion for movement, growth, and camaraderie. To ensure a great experience for everyone, we ask that all team members review and agree to the following guidelines:

General Team GCH Core Values

  1. Community First: Team Grit City Health believes that cycling and running is for everyone. Respect and encouragement are the cornerstones of our culture. We are committed to maintaining a team environment where individuals of all identities—including race, gender, gender identity, and religion—feel welcomed, respected, and supported. We stand for inclusivity and believe that everyone has a right to be a part of these sports and this community.

  2. Representation: Whether you’re riding, running, or racing, we ask that you wear your team gear proudly when participating in events or activities as a representative of Team GCH.

  3. Positivity & Sportsmanship: Uphold good sportsmanship and maintain a positive attitude, both within the team and during public events. We aim to inspire others through our actions and teamwork.

  4. Commitment to Fun: At the end of the day, this team is about enjoying the journey—whether it’s through casual rides, races, or trail runs.

Team-Specific Guidelines

  • GCH Wheelers: Join for the joy of riding and community involvement. Represent the team at casual rides, social events, and occasional races while fostering a friendly atmosphere.

  • GCH Dirt Team: Take your adventures off-road with events like gravel races, mountain biking, and cyclocross. Contribute to the team environment by sharing insights, supporting teammates, and embracing the challenges of these dynamic events.

  • GCH CX Team: As a dedicated cyclocross member, participate in the full PNW season and contribute to the supportive, high-energy race-day environment. Take advantage of our shared race-day resources while giving back to the team spirit with cheers, camaraderie, and support.

  • GCH Runners: Lace up for trail or road runs, races, and community fun runs. Share your passion for running, support fellow runners, and represent GCH on and off the trails.

  • Friends of Team GCH: Not officially part of Team GCH? No problem! We welcome ”privateers” and riders from all teams to join us for group rides, races, and the camaraderie that comes with being part of our cycling community.

We know some racing teams may not offer the same level of support or adventure, and we’re here to fill in the gaps. Whether you’re wearing your team’s kit or just want to ride with a group that’s all about the experience, you’re always welcome with us.

If you find yourself looking for a more supportive team environment, we’d love to have you officially join Team GCH—but no pressure. Our open arms, group events, and team tents are open to everyone who shares our passion for riding and racing.

What We Ask of You

  1. Participation: While there’s no minimum requirement, we encourage you to actively engage with the team—through rides, runs, or simply cheering on your teammates!

  2. Communication: Stay connected through team emails, social channels, or designated platforms to keep up with events and updates.

  3. Gear: Invest in at least one team jersey or t-shirt so you can represent Team GCH during events.

  4. Respect Shared Resources: Use team-provided resources thoughtfully and help contribute to maintaining a positive, supportive atmosphere at events.

  5. Team Fee: There’s no membership fee to join Team GCH Wheelers, Dirt Team, Runners, or “Friends of…”. This ensures that everyone participating benefits from a well-supported team environment.
If you are looking to be part of the GCH CX Team and plan to race in about 4+ cyclocross events/season, a modest annual fee of $50 (due in August before each CX season) helps cover shared race-day resources and worn out team focused items like team tents, snacks, hydration, and other essentials. At the end of the CX Season, a full accounting of all money spent will be shared with the CX Team, and any leftovers will be allocated based on the groups decision.
