Continuing Education for Massage Therapists

Hands-On Learning for Hands-On Professionals

Why Choose Grit City Health for CE?

Elevate your skills, expand your practice, and earn CE credits through engaging, practical courses designed specifically for massage therapists.

As a practicing massage therapist with years of hands-on experience, I understand the challenge of balancing professional growth with a busy schedule. These private CE experiences are designed to deliver actionable techniques and fresh perspectives while prioritizing your needs as both a learner and a practitioner.

In this private format, you are the sole focus of the demonstration, ensuring techniques are applied directly to you. This allows you to not only learn the work — but feel it — creating a deeper understanding you can immediately bring back into your own practice.

Rather than a traditional classroom setting, these sessions break down real-world techniques into immersive, hands-on learning experiences where education and practitioner care come together.

Practitioner Intensive CE Week

Private Intensive • 5–7.5 CE Hours • $495

The Practitioner Intensive CE Week is a private, immersive Continuing Education experience designed for therapists who want deeper learning, integration, and hands-on experience.

Over one focused week, we work together through up to five personalized 80-minute sessions combining bodywork, movement exploration, and applied technique learning. This format allows you to experience the work both as a practitioner and as a recipient — helping you understand not only how techniques work, but how they feel.

This is more than earning CE hours - it’s an opportunity to recalibrate your body, deepen your understanding of movement and touch, and return to your work with renewed clarity and confidence.

Includes:

  • Up to five private 80-minute sessions

  • Hands-on technique exploration

  • Movement and mobility integration

  • CE handouts and materials

  • Certificate documenting approximately 5–7.5 CE hours

Booking Process:
Book your first 80-minute Monday session online. After booking, I will personally contact you to schedule the rest of your Intensive Week.

Courses Offered

  • Functional Movement Assessments, and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation in Massage Therapy

A practical course on using movement assessments and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, helping clients build awareness and connection to their bodies during sessions. Learn to integrate movement assessments into your practice to identify patterns, imbalances, and areas needing focus for more effective treatments.

  • Active Recovery for the Lower Body by Blending Movement, Stretching, and Sports Massage Techniques

Focus on techniques tailored to lower body focused athletes (runners, cyclists, etc.), blending recovery massage with methods to support performance and reduce injury risk. Explore how to combine manual stretching with massage therapy to improve client outcomes, targeting mobility, flexibility, and functional movement.

  • Working with the Back and Spine… While Supine:

Specialized techniques for addressing tension and overuse common in clients with upper-body-intensive professions or activities. Learn how to work smarter and more precise without using your elbows to properly assess and release the spinal extensors and supporters, all while your client is supine, fully clothed, and mobile.

  • Learn by Feeling: A Guided Massage Education for Therapists

This course is designed for massage therapists who want to learn through experience—by receiving a guided, educational massage rather than a standard hands-on exchange. Instead of switching between giving and receiving, you will be on the table for the entire session, allowing for real-time discussion and insight as you experience functional movement integration, PNF techniques, and targeted bodywork.
